playing around with the Christmas theme…

I printed out this one on cardstock to see how it looked. then I decided to play with color…

P&I

did some more pen and ink play. I’ll post later. I’ve got a stack of ATC sized pieces of this cheap card stock that came from the scraps when I cut down all the bases for my fat book pages. I promised myself when I started this that I would use them all to practice sketching on…. then I started playing with the pen and ink instead… I really want to push myself to use them all. the point was that I could just toss them if the sketch didn’t turn out (because they weren’t fastened in a book) but that I would have a certain amount of practice I would need to put into this. plus, when they do turn out, instant finished (ATC). I don’t need to try to find a way to use them. they already are “done”.

more pen and ink play…

yes, I do have a house/trees/hill/moon thing going… for some reason it’s working for me, so I decided not to fight it, lol.

this one is just the bones of a drawing still in progress. I stopped here because I’m torn on whether to do this as all pen and ink… or to pull out the colored pencils…

new art… mostly playing

practice at pen and ink sketching done with both cheap pen and paper. I stole liberally from other artist’s styles to help learn… hopefully, once I get more confidence and skill of my own, I can develop my own style.
