i actually did art related stuff today! I spent a while painting leaves I’d pick and pressed a couple days ago with gel medium to preserve them. I’m going to use them first for reference to do pen and ink leaf studies like the maple leaf I did a while ago. then I’ll also be able to use them in collage since they are preserved. then I spent a little time grinding some saffron strands to make paint from. they make the most beautiful yellow watercolor paint when mixed with a little gum arabic as a binder.
