Hello, I'm Jen.
I work primarily in the mixed media and book arts, but have a deep thirst to try everything. I cut intricate traditional papercuttings (scherenschnitte), bind books, alter anything in sight, and even created my own imaginary country (Albanlea) to write about and illustrate with my art. If you haven't already checked out my galleries, please do!!
I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, California, with my husband Paul. Paul is a California native, but I'm a midwest girl originally. If you are interested in my latest art explorations, check out My Art Blog
I'm very involved in my church, Harvest Chapel. My wonderful husband teaches the sunday school lessons and facilitates a weekly men's small group. We are extremely proud of our wonderful congregation and the amount of missions work they support. There are 2 missions started and run by members of our small church. One is a clinic and dispensary in Kenya, home of many of our churches members. The other is Cry Cameroon Ministries, which is building the Harvest Children's Home orphanage in Cameroon. If you ever have any questions about my faith, please email me. I would love to have the chance to share it with you.
Aside from that, I love reading, camping, letterboxing, knitting, quilting, tatting, cross stitch, and dollhouse miniatures. I am also very interested in genealogy and family history. You can check out My Rootsweb Family Tree Research
I have no children yet, but I do have a very spoiled 8 year old cat named Esme. If you have had even a cursory look at Albanlea, you will recognize Esme's place within our family.
And last but not least, if you are a family member or friend and you have trouble buying gifts for me or my husband Paul, check out our wish lists!
