this is a great way to use your left over paint off your pallet or your waste water from cleaning your brushes.
this technique is extremely simple.
crumple your paper into a ball. depending on the amount of wrinkle pattern you want, you might want to flatten it out and crumple it again.
submerge your crumpled paper in your waste water and leave it for a few seconds so that it can become saturated. depending on the intensity of you waste water, you may wish to leave it in longer. sometimes i put as much paper as i can fit into my water and leave it over night for the most intense color i can get.
carefully remove your paper from the waste water and squeeze it to remove excess waste water.
very gently, open out your balled paper and lay it flat on the freezer paper to dry. it is important to us freezer paper or other non stick surface for drying, because your paper could stick to surfaces if you are using acrylic paint water.
you can use your paper as is, or iron it flat. even after ironing, it will have a soft subtle texture. to get your paper as flat as possible, rub it flat first with a bone folder, then iron.
if you iron the paper, it will be flat enough to run through you printer.
